The heroine is the married butterfly
Who lands on an orchid and makes a home in the soft, pink petals
Such that with cruel and hard rainfall
They both wither and die.
She is the mother betrayed by Jason
Who withers and hardens
Whose leaves are frozen
Rarely is she
Who stands an oak
Tall and proud.
Relentlessly polluted decade upon decade upon decade
Yet still purifies our air
